Abstract

Objective: To report the experience of students in the 9th period of the nursing course at a private educational institution in an elementary school in the DF after the Covid-19 pandemic. Experience report: The consultations were carried out from June 2 to 14, 2022, through a pre-prepared care form for pre-adolescents to guide nursing students in conducting care on various topics such as: family dynamics, eating habits, body and oral hygiene, personal and family pathological antecedents, psychological assessment, risk factors such as violence, self-mutilation and self-extermination. Final considerations: The internship at school was important because the academics were able to perceive the everyday health needs of children and adolescents and the increase in these demands arising from social isolation by the Covid-19 pandemic. As well as the protagonist role of nurses in recognizing signs of risk for this population and establishing the appropriate interventions in order to ensure health protection.
