Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the late evolution of patients operated in a ABC region of São Paulo, identifying possible complications and their correlation with perioperative conditions. Methods: retrospective analysis of the medical records of patients treated surgically, with evaluation of late results and associated complications. Results: Most patients were lost to follow-up and the number of bilateral or unilateral surgeries was not significantly different. 27.78% of the patients who underwent sperm analysis had a normal result while 63.64% had eutrophic testicles on Doppler ultrasound (US). Conclusion: Loss to follow-up limited correlations between perioperative conditions and late treatment outcomes. Of the patients followed up to adulthood, most had an abnormal sperm count, while Doppler US and testosterone levels were predominantly normal.
