Abstract

Objective: To understand the main dermatological symptoms resulting from Covid-19 infection in children. Review Bibliographic: The Covid-19 infection is not restricted to the respiratory tree, and dermatological manifestations have increasingly been identified, showing that the skin is also an organ of the human body affected by the coronavirus infection. In addition, the time of development of the rash varies from three to five days after the first manifestations, and lasts from 7 to 21 days. There are five patterns of skin findings found as maculopapular, urticarial, pseudo-erythema-pernio, vesico-bullous and livedo/necrosis-like eruptions. In addition, recognizing these different patterns is of great importance as they can help health professionals to have a better understanding, and greater diagnostic power, in a non-specific viral picture, thus allowing the early implementation of safety measures to contain the spread. of the virus. Considerations Final: It is possible to state that dermatological findings have been increasingly frequent. However, there are still many questions about how their reactions are triggered, their prevalence in Brazilian territory, and whether they have SARS-CoV-2 as the definitive etiology.
