Abstract
Objective: To report the clinical case of a patient who underwent surgical treatment for Miller class I root coverage using the Langer & Langer technique. Case details: Male patient, 33 years old, with Miller class I gingival recession, underwent surgical treatment for root coverage using the Langer & Langer technique. In this case report, periodontal plastic surgery was performed on element 14 with clinical and radiographic examination. The correct diagnosis of gingival alteration gives the professional the indication of treatment through periodontal plastic surgery being indicated due to several factors such as: unsightly aspect, cervical abrasions, dentin hypersensitivity, avoiding superficial radicular carious lesion, as well as the evolution and consequences of recession. gingival. Final considerations: Through the clinical study, it can be observed with the results obtained, that the Langer & Langer technique was efficient in the complete treatment of class I gingival recession, in addition, better aesthetics and necessary conditions for the maintenance of oral health were conferred.
