Abstract

Objective: To investigate post-Covid anxiety disorders, highlighting anxiety as a consequence of SARS-COV II infection. Methods: This is an integrative review study. Observational studies were used, from January 2019 to June 2022, published in any languages that were identified by the following descriptors: “Anxiety”, “Covid-19”, “Generalized Anxiety Disorder”. The databases consulted were The Cochrane Library, PubMed, Science Direct, SciELO and LILACS. Results: A total of 2137 publications were found in the consulted database, and of these eight were eligible for analysis suggesting that diagnostic methods are based on questionnaires GAD-7, mPHG15, PHQ-9, DSM-V, CD-RISC and CES –D. Most of the findings report a sample that experienced a moderate to severe generalized anxiety disorder and associated depressive disorder. The limitations of the studies are grouped in the fact that the study is cross-sectional, which does not allow causal inferences, conducting research online and divergences regarding the language of the study and the characteristics that determined the sample. Final considerations: It is evident that the fear of acquiring the virus has become the main triggering factor for generalized anxiety disorder and the diagnostic models are limited to the questions of the questionnaire.
