Abstract
Objective: To describe the practice of nursing consultations in the school context with elementary school students, through interventions related to eye health. Experience report: experience carried out during the Nursing internship between October 3 to 21, 2022 reporting the routine in the School Health Program (PSE). The consultations were carried out following a script that addressed questions about family dynamics and organization, family and personal pathological issues, physical examination, risk factors and emotional assessment, carrying out health education. In addition to the evolution of Nursing according to the student's diagnosis. Final considerations: The internship period at PSE provided the students with the experience of biopsychosocial assessment of students, perceiving physical, social and also ophthalmological needs, referring the child when necessary to specialties available in primary care through a communication to parents. Visual screening is very important for the well-being of students, when unknown and without medical support, it can negatively affect the student's life, the nurse's role is to promote student health according to the perception of their needs encountered during Nursing consultation.
