Abstract

Objective: This article sought to report the experience lived by students in the health in the square action. Experience Report: This is a descriptive study, experience report type, carried out from the experience of league binders in the action entitled “Saúde na Praça”. It took place in a city in Minas Gerais and lasted the equivalent of a weekend, ending with an action on June 18, 2022. The action was born at the wish of the binders in partnership with the health secretary of the city in making the population aware of prevention and health promotion, seeking to expand care, especially in relation to diabetes mellitus and systemic arterial hypertension, generating more knowledge and autonomy about their health. Allowing the inhabitants to realize the importance of continuous care for their health. Final considerations: The action achieved the expected results, it also allowed a great integration between those involved. In addition to rescuing people who were not up to date with their follow-up, it brought in new users who committed to seek the Basic Health Unit as soon as possible to take care of themselves.
