Abstract
Objective: To analyze through a literature review the use of aesthetic materials in cases of patients with imperfect dentinogenesis and its aesthetic implications for the patient. Bibliographic review: Dentinogenesis imperfecta is responsible for the disorder of dental development, thus causing an alteration in the enamel, directly affecting the patient's self-esteem, causing him to look for the dentist. The comparison between dentinogenesis imperfecta with tetracycline stains is also cited. Where the most important thing is the search for better self-esteem and making the patient feel as comfortable as possible, establishing aesthetics and function. Final considerations: Therefore, the search for aesthetics is the main point, directly affecting the individual's life as social, psychological and affective relationships. Some of the proposed treatments would be: restorative materials such as resin, ceramic veneers, and in some cases the use of bleaching agents can be used.
