Abstract

Objective: To highlight and qualify the importance and benefits of treating dermatoses with immunobiologicals. Methods: This is an integrative review of a descriptive and qualitative nature, based on studies found in the databases Regional Portal of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and National Library of Medicine and the National Institute of Health (PUBMED), using the search words "immunotherapy" AND "skin diseases", and with the filter consisting of a timeline from 2016 to 2022, articles published in Portuguese and English. Results: Actinic keratosis is a dermatosis that is related to the development of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). In this sense, it was identified that the use of calcipotriol combined with 5-Fluorouracil is a strong association as immunotherapy for the control of actinic keratosis. The use of nivolumab associated with ipilimumab or nivolumab alone had better results than ipilimumab alone. Final considerations: Individuals with dermatoses undergoing treatment with corticosteroids associated with immunobiologicals may have an improvement in the elementary skin lesion. In patients who did not respond to conventional treatment with corticosteroids and lifestyle changes, the use of immunobiologicals shows good response and regression of lesions, improving the prognosis of patients.
