Abstract

Objective: The objective is to know the level of medical care regarding prenatal care and the reception provided in a UBS, in a municipality in the state of Paraíba. Methods: This is a descriptive exploratory research with a qualitative approach, which will be carried out in a Basic Health Unit in Patos - PB. The research will be carried out in a basic health unit (UBS) in that municipality. The study participants will be intentionally approached among those waiting for the prenatal consultation, culminating in pregnant women of different gestational periods, when the testimonies do not show any new information, in addition to the view of doctors, about the care provided. Data collection will be carried out using a semi-structured form, between August and December 2022, after a favorable opinion from the Ethics and Research Committee. Results: Data analysis will be carried out using Microsoft Excel and the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) computer programs. Simple descriptive and inferential analysis will be adopted. Conclusion: It is expected to help in clinical practice, as well as in the establishment of preventive and health promotion interventions for the group.
