Abstract
Objective: To report the implementation process of the negative pressure therapy technique adapted or curative for infections with hospital materials, ensuring access to this technique for patients with existing injuries in the context of the Unified Health Service. Experience report: Since August 2021, the implementation process of the adapted negative pressure therapy technique began, being carried out in four stages: project idealization, preparation of documents for practice, preparation of the training course and initial care of patients being followed up by the researcher. Final considerations: From the process of implementing the technique, it was possible to mediate access to this dressing for patients with different injuries that needed direct or indirect stimulation until their final healing, in addition to allowing the reduction of hospital stay; It is expected that further studies will be carried out through the adaptation technique so that it can be expanded to other Brazilian health services.
