Abstract

Objective: To describe the use of the International Classification for Nursing Practice in the Terminology Subsets developed at the Graduate Nursing Program of the Federal University of Paraíba, including the investigation of the scientific publications arising from these. Methods: Descriptive bibliometric study, with a quantitative documentary-based approach, conducted between September 2019 and February 2020 with a search in the Institutional Repository of the Federal University of Paraíba, on the website of the Graduate Program in Nursing and on the Sucupira Platform. Results: 19 research studies using the International Classification for Nursing Practice were identified, with 63.16% coming from dissertations and 36.84% from theses; 57.89% used the Theory of Basic Human Needs as a theoretical reference; regarding the publications, a total of 30 articles, five books and 17 book chapters were obtained. Conclusion: The use of the International Classification for Nursing Practice in the development of Terminology Subsets progresses quantitatively with regard to the number of studies, as well as the evolution of methodological steps and, consequently, the knowledge of Nursing.
