Abstract

Objective: To identify strategies and technologies to mediate educational practices on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis – PrEP for HIV with transvestites and trans women. Bibliographic review: Strategies and technologies of different modalities and formats were identified. The studies highlighted technologies such as: social networks, peer information, information campaigns, messages via smartphone, mobile application for smartphone, blogs, online and/offline platforms for HIV counseling and testing, integration of online technologies and HIV self-test, group interventions with trans people, technology portals and messaging sites. The evidence consulted points out that educational technology in health is a powerful instructional element in the care and prevention of the health of transvestites and trans women. It is essential that evidence-based productions, which consider these gender identities, can circulate among the trans universe to be combined with access to health information, for self-care and to support professionals who have a background strongly marked by the biologicist and heteronormative pattern, as is the case with nursing. Final considerations: It is concluded that the strategies and technologies are disseminated and made available in different communication channels and proved to be important for educating, guiding and training about PrEP.
