Abstract
Objective: To develop an intestinal estomy simulator for teaching and training. Methods: To create the simulator, low cost materials were used and the preparation steps were divided. After the preparation of the simulator, we opted for validation with health professionals (judges) with a minimum degree of specialist, at least two years of experience in the area and based on criteria elaborated and adapted for this study. In this work we chose to capture six specialists (n = 6), three physicians and three nurses to validate the simulator. For the validation, the Delphi Technique will be used. For the validation of the simulator, the Content Validity Index will be used. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee. Results: The suggested format allows training and teaching, as well as approval by the judges surveyed. Conclusions: The proposed simulator allows training and understanding of general stoma care.
