Abstract

Objective: Summarize what the evidence addresses about tuberculosis during pregnancy. Methods: It is an integrative review of the literature in the databases Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Nursing Database, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online and Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences, through the Virtual Health Library platform and in the Web of Science database through the CAPES Journal Portal, held in April 2022. The descriptors “tuberculosis” and “pregnancy” were used to search for original articles from the last ten years (2011-2021), in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Results: 15 articles were selected and two categories emerged – implications of tuberculosis in pregnancy; health actions dispensed during the treatment of pregnant woman with tuberculosis. Conclusion: There is a delay in the diagnosis of TB in women in the gestational phase; favorable results of childbirth linked to the delay in the beginning of treatment for the second/third trimester; and the success of treatment in most studies analyzed.
