Abstract
Objective: To investigate dentin adhesion after the use of high-power lasers in cementation of aesthetic dental posts through. Methods: For this integrative review, a search was performed in the PubMed database in January 2023. Studies published in any language in the last five years were included and articles that were not related as the main theme were excluded. The following data were extracted: authors, year of publication, purpose of the study, type of laser, irrigating solution, cement used, degree of exposure of dentinal tubules and bond strength. Results: The main search resulted in 17 articles, eight of which were published in the last five years. All studies were selected for this review. The oldest article was published in 2017 and the most recent article in 2022. All were laboratory studies. Among the selected studies, it was observed that 62.5% used the Er:YAG laser. Six studies applied the laser to dentin and 2 to the surface of fiber posts. The best performance was achieved by the Er:YAG laser. Final considerations: It is considered that the Er:YAG laser is the most used and presents better results for adhesion between the fiber post and the dental surface.
