Abstract
Objective: To synthesize the knowledge produced regarding the technological and assistive innovations used to promote the health of the elderly. Methods: Integrative Review based on the guiding question "What are the contributions of innovations and/or assistive technologies used by nursing in elderly care?". The databases used were: IEEE Explore, PubMed, Embase and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences. For the summarization and synthesis of research, the Iramuteq software was used through descending hierarchical classification. Results: From the 23 studies resulting from this review, five classes were identified, of which three themes were developed: "Insertion of technologies in the elderly's daily life", "Technologies for prevention, maintenance and rehabilitation of the elderly's health" and "Implications of robotics for nursing care for the elderly". Conclusion: The synthesis of scientific evidence proved the effectiveness of the use of assistive and digital devices, such as smartwatches, smart homes, interactive games (cognitive and physical stimulation) in nursing assistance and care for the elderly, as they help maintain autonomy and injure the health, the findings of the study suggest national research with these innovations to improve care for the elderly.
