Abstract

Objective: To perform content and construct validation of a protocol for organizing home care flow for children with special health care needs. Methods: Methodological research to validate the flow organization instrument, by a committee consisting of eight judges, using the Delphi technique. The data were collected by online form in 2020. Statistical analysis was done of content validity index, Kappa coefficient and reliability by Cronbach's alpha. Results: In the first evaluation of the instrument, 24 (77%) of the 31 items obtained 80% agreement. After adjustments indicated by the judges, in the second round, eight of the 11 items with previous low agreement showed a content validity index of 100% and three of 83.3%. Cronbach's alpha was 0.789, being considered substantial, and Kappa coefficient was 83.64%, being classified as excellent. Conclusion: The protocol was considered validated and can be used to standardize the transition of children with special health care needs to home care.
