Abstract

Objective: To characterize the relationship between family support and the quality of health in the homeless population through the existing scientific production in the last 5 years. Methods: Qualitative study based on an integrative literature review. We searched the VHL databases and the CAPES portal. The PICO strategy allowed the construction of the research's guiding question. It was possible to find the keywords and from them we carried out a survey of the descriptors on the DeSC platform. Finally, we made the selection by title, abstract and full text. Results: This part of society suffers ailments that affect their physical, mental and social well-being, and there is much to be overcome in terms of the health issues that this population faces. The specificity of the highlighted theme generated a quantitative of only 6 articles as a return in the database. Qualitative research was the most developed. Final considerations: Through the studies published in recent years, we observed that family support and the quality of health in the homeless population are weakened due to various societal ills and that this field needs more studies that instigate discussions on the subject.
