Abstract

Objective: To identify in the literature which educational technologies are used as health education strategies in Primary Health Care for people with Diabetes Mellitus. Methods: integrative review carried out between November 2021 and February 2022, in journals indexed in PubMed, LILACS, CINAHL and Web of Science, using the descriptors "Diabetes Mellitus", "Primary prevention", "Health education" and “Educational technology”, combined with the Boolean operator AND. Original articles from the last 10 years, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, were included. The selection of studies followed the recommendations of the PRISMA guideline. To assess the level of evidence, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) classification of levels of scientific evidence was used. Results: 32 articles were included, which showed four types of approaches in relation to the type of meetings, the audience involved and the type of didactic material: individual face-to-face meetings, face-to-face group meetings, remote approach and mixed interventions. Conclusion: Health education actions should be applied according to the different realities encountered, promoting positive results in groups of people living with diabetes in each Basic Health Unit, optimizing the time of care provided by professionals in health services.
