Abstract

Objective: To understanding, from the perspective of the patient who had Covid-19, the vaccination against the disease., from the patient's perspective. Methods: This is an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative study. For the selection of participants, we used the database that gathers information and monitors the Covid-19, fed by the managers of the Basic Health Units of the city of Paranavaí-PR, from the random selection of 150 telephone contacts. The academics contacted the individuals who are part of the database and who had a confirmed diagnosis for Covid-19. Content analysis was used to process the data. Results: 23 interviews were conducted, 21 individuals received complete Covid-19 vaccination schedules with the two doses and the booster dose, and only two incomplete schedules with only one dose. Three categories emerged: "Myths, uncertainties and lack of clarification about the vaccine, disease and treatment"; "Attitudes and feelings surrounding the acceptance and refusal of vaccination"; "post-Covid-19 sequelae, life changes and feelings during social isolation". Conclusion: From this study, it was observed that there are doubts and negative feelings concerning the Covid-19 pandemic and vaccination. Such questioning may be related to the mass dissemination of untrue information.
