Abstract
Objective: To identify in the literature the impact of business entrepreneurship on the growth and professional development of nurses. Methods: The research presents a literature review on the current nursing scenario in Brazil, changes in the labor market, the growing interest in entrepreneurship and the different ways in which it manifests itself in the profession. Several academic sources and studies were consulted that address the theme of entrepreneurship in nursing, both in the business and social spheres and intrapreneurship. Results: Historically, nursing has invested less in business entrepreneurship than other health professions. However, this trend has been changing, with the emergence of nursing practices and clinics expanding worldwide. Nurses' interest in recognition, appreciation, stability, adequate remuneration and a more important position has driven the development of entrepreneurial actions in the class. Final considerations: Entrepreneurship in nursing has proven to be an alternative to face the challenges of the labor market, providing nurses with new opportunities for professional performance. The diversity of expressions of entrepreneurship in nursing, including social entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and business entrepreneurship, reflects the adaptability of the profession in the face of contemporary demands.
