Abstract

Objective: To analyze the knowledge of health academics about cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Methods: This is an integrative literature review with articles indexed in Scielo and Pubmed between 2018 and 2022. In the search, the following terms were used through Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS): Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Students, Knowledge and Basic Support. It was used as a guiding question: What is the level of knowledge of academics about cardiopulmonary resuscitation? Results: The initial search resulted in 439 articles. After applying the selection and eligibility criteria, 11 articles remained in this review. Factors that directly contributed to the good level of knowledge of the academics were analyzed, such as: age, level of academic progress, previous training, sex and professional experience. Final considerations: The study made it possible to identify gaps in the learning process that resulted in a lower retention of skills by academics in the health area, demonstrating a satisfactory level of knowledge related to theory and lower than what concerns practice.
