Abstract
Objective: To describe nursing management in urgent and emergency services, and the purpose of planning due to its relevance to nursing care. Bibliographic review: The urgency and emergency service aims to reduce morbidity and mortality and the impacting consequences of users. Therefore, it must have resources that contribute to safe care. In this sector, management is crucial, since in order to provide qualified and resolute care, management is necessary, a planned and organized activity. Thus, the role of nurses is paramount, in view of their management and management skills, as well as contact with the patient, thus identifying needs. In addition, we can use the various management tools in order to facilitate the process. Final considerations: Nursing management with a focus on care is crucial for carrying out interventions aimed at stabilizing the condition of patients assisted in the urgency and emergency service. The nurse, in the exercise of managerial functions, focuses his actions on the objective of well-being of patients and safe assistance, where the planning of the activity is necessary and makes it efficient, allowing the organization of actions before executing them and their efficiency.
