Abstract
Objective: To analyze the epidemiological profile of patients diagnosed with breast carcinoma in Brazil through an integrative literature review. Methods: This is a descriptive bibliographic review of the integrative type through the analysis of the literature published in the last five years, indexed in the SCIELO; LILACS and CAPES database. Results: The analyzed publications showed that most women diagnosed with breast cancer were aged between 45 and 59 years, with histopathological type of Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma and who used mastectomy surgery and chemotherapy as treatment. Aspects such as marital status and education were discussed in this review, although they were not present in all selected articles. Conclusion: Knowledge of the epidemiological profile of women with breast cancer contributes to the identification of characteristics that can result in inequalities in access to health services, and consequent diagnosis of the disease in more advanced stages, as well as to define assertive actions in the face of individual needs and collectives of each region of the country.
