Abstract

Objective: To identify the approach to Spirituality in Curricular Pedagogical Projects of undergraduate Nursing courses in the Federal District, Brazil. Methods: Exploratory descriptive study with a qualitative approach with documentary analysis of the PPC of undergraduate Nursing courses offered by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Federal District. Included are public and private institutions, with face-to-face courses, in activity or active, with projects and subject syllabi available online or made available by the institutions themselves. The sample comprised 10 projects from 12 undergraduate Nursing courses, from nine institutions. For document analysis, qualitative thematic analysis was used. Results: Spirituality is frequently addressed in most of the projects analyzed in line with the recommendation of the National Curricular Guidelines, even if it still occurs in a fragmented way. Conclusion: It is recommended to expand the investigation to a greater number of institutions nationwide to better understand the concepts, principles and educational practices on how spirituality is being approached in professional training.
