Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the evidence on the management of infection of Acquired Imune Deficiency Vírus (HIV) through the new care model proposed by the Ministry of Health, from the perspective of People Living with HIV (PLHIV). Methods: This is an integrative literature review, guided by PRISMA. The databases consulted were: Virtual Health Library (VHL), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), National Library of Medicine (PubMed), Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) and Journals of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), asking: How is the management of HIV infection being applied in Primary Care based on the new HIV care model proposed by the Ministry of Health from the perspective of PLHIV? In September 2022. Results: Eight articles were identified, organized into three categories: greater proximity of access to services, greater scope of actions and greater professional-patient bond. Final considerations: PLHIV recognized that the decentralization of HIV/AIDS management to primary care brought improvements in care, but stressed the need to strengthen aspects such as infrastructure, mobility and leisure.
