Abstract

Objective: To evaluate how the QOL of the population of multidisciplinary residents at a reference hospital in Belém - Pará was affected during the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: The sample consisted of 69 residents. Residents were interviewed with the help of a questionnaire prepared with three blocks of questions: block 1 contained questions relating to age, sex, profession and specialty of training, block 2 was the previously validated questionnaire from the World Health Organization for Quality of Vida WHOQOL-Bref and block 3 dealt with socio-epidemiological issues. Results: Multidisciplinary residents presented an unsatisfactory level in relation to quality of life (psychological=41.3±13.7, physical=45.6±14.9, social relationships=49.9±17.9, environment=43.3±14.6 and total=43.6±11.7). The psychological domain was significantly lower (p=0.0325) in the women's group. There was no significant difference in quality of life between residents of different specialties. Conclusion: QoL scores measured using the WHOQOL-bref were low in all domains, the worst being psychological.
