Abstract
Objective: Evaluate the effects of anesthetic protocols on ovariosalpingohysterectomy (OSH) in rats, evaluating HR, RR, Tº, induction and maintenance time. Methods: 28 Wistar rats were used, divided into 5 groups with 7 animals each: Group QX: Ketamine 80mg/Kg + Xylazine 20mg/Kg; QXF Group: Ketamine 60 mg/kg + Xylazine 8 mg/kg + Fentanyl 0.03 mg/kg; QM Group: Ketamine 70 mg/kg + Midazolam 5mg/kg; QMF Group: Ketamine 60 mg/kg + Midazolam 5mg/kg + Fentanyl 0.03 mg/kg. OSH and animal monitoring were performed. Results: Intraoperatively: In CF, QMF was the one that presented the highest values at all times, while QXF presented the lowest values, and the groups with xylazine (QX and QXF) had values below physiological values, a fact also observed in RP. Postoperatively: QMF had the highest mean and was the only one with a normal HR value, with QX being the only one with values below normal. In FR, QM had a higher average, while QXF and QX presented values below physiological levels at times. Conclusion: The QMF protocol maintained HR, RR and TºC values as close to physiological values.
