Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the profile of patients under outpatient follow-up for post-Covid-19 conditions at a public teaching hospital in Paraná. Methods: Using a quantitative and retrospective approach, data from 535 patient records from July 2020 to June 2022 were analyzed. Results: The results revealed a profile with an average age of 57 years, predominantly married, of white ethnicity, and with a body mass index indicative of obesity. There were no significant differences between genders. The most common symptoms reported during outpatient follow-up were dyspnea, cough, and fatigue. Regarding pre-existing comorbidities, hypertension and diabetes stood out. More than half of the patients were obese, and about a third required invasive mechanical ventilation during hospitalization. Conclusion: These findings provide important insights into the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of post-Covid-19 patients, highlighting the need for long-term care strategies to improve their quality of life. This deeper understanding can guide the development of specific and targeted interventions for this patient group.
