Abstract

Objective: To share the experience of using Information and Communication Technology as a tool for managing nursing care for people with pressure injuries in the Intensive Care Unit. Experience report: To manage care for patients with and/or who are at risk for developing an injury, the conduct of the unit's nurses is based on the stages of the Nursing Process and the Situation-Background-Assessment-Recommendation technique, known as the SBAR method. Furthermore, the use of technology, in this case the smartphone, only adds to this management, since, through this tool, all nursing professionals involved in care are aware of the patient's clinical conditions in real time. Final considerations: The use of technology, smartphone is a tool that helps in managing care for patients with and/or possibilities of developing them, thus socializing information regarding the first assessment and subsequent conduct for prevention and/or treating injuries in the intensive care unit.
