Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a therapeutic tool in autism in children and contribute to the development of more effective and accessible intervention strategies. Literature Review: SD is a neurobiological disorder that affects the development of communication and social interaction in children, with multifactorial causes not yet fully understood. ABA is highlighted as a promising, evidence-based approach to improving the social and behavioral skills of children with ASD. Studies demonstrate the efficacy of ABA in combination with other therapies, emphasizing the importance of early and personalized intervention. Final considerations: Active involvement of the family is crucial, healthcare professionals play a fundamental role in early diagnosis and ongoing treatment adaptation, emphasizing the importance of a holistic and collaborative approach to overcome challenges in the treatment of autism.
