Abstract

Objective: To analyze the effects of FIFA 11+ on improving performance in adolescent Football Society players in 12 weeks of intervention. Methods: 20 Football Society practitioners participated in this study, divided into an experimental group and a control group, all male. Physical performance parameters were assessed using body mass index, rast-test, horizontal jump and yo-yo test. Results: Athletes aged between 12 and 16 years (average of 14.7 years ± 1.6 years), after the intervention, a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) was observed in the intragroup physical performance parameters, except in the BMI of the control group (0.110) and in the rast-test maximum relative power (0.236). Between the groups, only the horizontal jump showed a statistically significant difference (0.031). These results indicate that the intervention program, for the most part, had a positive impact on the parameters evaluated, especially in the horizontal jump. Conclusion: It is concluded that FIFA 11+ is effective in improving physical performance, especially in horizontal jumping, in teenagers aged 12 to 16 who practice Football Society.
