Abstract

Objective: To report on a simulated experience involving the theme of incidents involving multiple victims, highlighting the importance of developing skills and competencies, with interdisciplinary coordination in the context of urgency and emergency in a fire scenario in a hospital setting. Experience report: This is an experience report of a simulated scenario in the care of multiple victims in a hospital setting, carried out in the second half of 2022 at a federal university in southern Brazil. The stations consisted of seven high-fidelity scenarios, made up of high- and medium-fidelity simulators and with participants dressed in the respective clothing of the stations. The activity lasted four hours and thirty minutes and included the briefing stages, which corresponded to providing information to the undergraduates about the proposed case and the dynamics to be carried out, and the debriefing stage, which corresponded to the third moment of the simulation, aimed at reflecting on the case developed. Final considerations: The simulation in the scenario of care for multiple victims highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary contextualization and synchronization with interdisciplinary theoretical knowledge, management, care conduct and communication in care involving incidents with multiple victims.
