Abstract
Objective: To analyze the quality of nurses' records in the management of tuberculosis care in the Family Health Strategy in a municipality in northeastern Brazil. Methods: A descriptive, documentary and retrospective study, with 53 medical records from the Family Health Strategies, in a health district in a municipality in northeastern Brazil between September and October 2020. The data obtained was tabulated and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The Pareto Diagram was used to characterize the fundamental causes of a given problem. Results: The assessment of completeness showed that 51.3% of the variables had a very poor rating. The categories with the highest percentage of incompleteness were: the recording of psychological and social data, behavior, orientation and admission as determining factors in altering the quality of these records, corresponding to 64.3% of the overall incompleteness of nurses' records. Conclusion: Weakening of the quality of nurses' records in the management of care for users with tuberculosis denoting incomplete records.
