Abstract

Objective: To analyze the knowledge of nursing students and professionals about wounds at all levels of health care. Methods: This is an integrative review of the literature, carried out in the MEDLINE, LILACS and BDENF databases. Results: There was a lack of current publications on the topic, mainly on international bases. Among the studies analyzed, the lack of knowledge of both academics and nursing professionals stood out, a condition that highlights the need for more research in the area, especially those that focus on theoretical-practical teaching strategies, in addition to continuing education initiatives, as these attitudes can significantly impact the knowledge and skills of professionals in caring for people with wounds at different levels of health care. Final Considerations: This research contributed to the generation of new ideas and perspectives on knowledge and nursing care for wounds, in addition to deepening knowledge about the evidence presented. Thus, the main points of the topic were discussed and the proposed objective was achieved through analysis and reflection on the studies included in the review.
