Abstract
Objective: To present the validation process of the medication guide for off-label subcutaneous use, regarding objectivity, content and language. Methods: Cross-sectional research developed in 2 stages: (1) construction of a virtual questionnaire with responses on a Likert scale and content validation by expert judges in two rounds; and (2) validation of the version approved in the first stage, by health professionals from a national reference institute in traumatology and orthopedics. For validation calculations, the Content Validation Index (CVI) and the percentage of agreement between participants were used. Results: The first version presented CVI = 0.91 and 80% agreement (n=10). For the 2nd round, version 2 presented obtained CVI = 0.97 and 90% agreement (n=10). Considered approved, this version 2 was then validated by the institute's health professionals (CVI = 0.98 and 90% agreement, n = 60). Conclusion: The guide was considered valid and legitimized by health professionals, enabling the acceptance and effective use of the SC route at the institute and promoting the safety of patients in orthopedic palliative care, through the standardization of good practices.
