Abstract
Objective: To identify in the scientific literature the role of nurses in the management of syphilis in men's health. Methods: Integrative Review, prepared from the database made available by the digital collections of the platforms: Nursing Database (BDENF), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) , between the years 2019 and 2023, using the descriptors: “Syphilis”, “Primary Nursing”, “Men's Health”, and “Nursing Care”, the collection was carried out between the months of March and May 2024. Results: The study highlighted the importance of nurses in carrying out rapid tests, prescriptions, and medication administration. It portrayed the deficiency in attracting the male public to the diagnosis and treatment of the disease, in addition to the lack of information and lack of health education actions. Final considerations: It is concluded that the great nursing challenge in the treatment of syphilis in men consists of the lack of information from the target audience, resistance and non-compliance with the treatments offered by the Unified Health System (SUS) through the National Policy for Comprehensive Attention to Men's Health (PNAISH).
