Abstract
Objective: To describe the case of a neonatal patient affected by necrotizing enterocolitis and post-hemorrhagic ventriculomegaly, integrating the Nursing Process according to taxonomy II of NANDA-I, NOC and NIC. Case details: This is a neonatal patient, aged one month and one day, diagnosed with advanced necrotizing enterocolitis and post-hemorrhagic ventriculomegaly. The diagnosis is related to perinatal factors, such as the presence of a true cord knot and hypoxemia. The systematization of care was used as a method, using Wanda Horta's Conceptual Model as a theoretical reference, which is based on the Theory of Basic Human Needs, being the tool to classify and prioritize nursing diagnoses. After analyzing the case, 9 diagnoses were identified, 8 of which belonged to psychobiological needs and 1 to psychosocial needs. Five of these nursing diagnoses were prioritized with goals and interventions. Final considerations: After executing the Nursing Process using the theoretical framework as a basis, it was possible to establish priority nursing diagnoses and explore the pathologies and their consequences, permeating the sphere of critical patient care.
