Abstract

Objective: To report the experience of students in the 9th period of the nursing course on an educational and preventive activity regarding contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted infections, in a public municipal school in Rio de Janeiro. Experience report: One of the nursing students' experience scenarios during the mandatory internship in public health is the school environment, through the School Health Program. From this, the students carried out a health promotion action with 6 (six) classes from the 6th to the 9th year, from a public municipal school in the city of Rio de Janeiro, on contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted infections. To address the topic, a playful and interactive methodology was used. First, there was a discussion of the topic, and later, in order to check whether the knowledge was acquired, a group game of questions and answers took place. Final considerations: The use of the educational game as a playful instrument, in that scenario, expanded the universe of possibilities to reach the target audience effectively.
