Abstract
Objective: To analyze the main repercussions and consequences of breast cancer during pregnancy according to the scientific literature. Methods:This is an integrative literature review conducted from January to May 2024. The PICo acronym was used to formulate the guiding question, and the search for studies was conducted in the Virtual Health Library (VHL). The search strategy adopted the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) linked by the boolean operator “AND”: breast cancer and pregnancy. Studies published between 2014 and 2024, available in Portuguese and English, that answered the guiding question were included. Results: The final sample included five articles, selected according to established criteria. When analyzing the studies, two discussion themes were identified: 1) Diagnostic process of cancer during pregnancy and 2) Forms of cancer treatment during pregnancy and their implications. Final considerations: In summary, this review highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and treatment for a good prognosis for pregnant women. It also pointed out the scarcity of articles on the subject, evidencing the need for more studies on the consequences of breast cancer during pregnancy.
