Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the impact of osseodensification on primary stability and osseointegration of dental implants, aiming to clarify how this technique influences implant performance in the short and long term. Literature review: The studies indicate that osseodensification significantly increases primary stability due to bone compaction during drilling, promoting greater contact between the bone and implant. Additionally, the technique seems to accelerate osseointegration, reducing healing time. The use of special drills preserves bone density and improves force distribution around the implant. However, some studies report that the results may vary depending on the initial bone quality and the surgeon's experience. Final considerations: Osseodensification shows clear benefits in improving primary stability and osseointegration of dental implants, especially in low-density bone. Limitations include the need for more long-term clinical studies to validate these results.
