Abstract
Objective: To report the experience of implementing and evaluating the implementation of the Electronic Citizen Record (PEC) and the e-SUS Strategy in a municipality in the interior of Goiás. Experience report: The experience took place between February 2022 and July 2023, made possible by the Digital Health Directorate that coordinated the initiative. Hardware and software diagnostics, training of health professionals and resolution of resistance were carried out, with technical support from PET-Saúde. Data were collected through user feedback and assessment of systems integration. The implementation of the PEC faced connectivity challenges and a lack of specific technical knowledge. These challenges were mitigated with the support of PET-Saúde and political awareness strategies. System integration and training improved clinical workflows and service efficiency, highlighting the positive impact of digital transformation on health management. Final considerations: The importance of collaboration between managers, teams and educational institutions for the success of digital transformation in healthcare is highlighted. Among the limitations, initial resistance and the continuous need for technical support stand out.
