Abstract
Objective: To investigate the functional evolution of amateur athletes undergoing ACL-R after six months of physical therapy treatment. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional research with a qualitative and quantitative approach, with a sample composed of three individuals. Six stages were conducted according to the application of each instrument, namely: semi-structured form, IKDC and ACL-RSI questionnaires, baropodometry, preparatory warm-up, hop tests and isometric dynamometry. The data were tabulated and discussed individually by participant. Results: In the hop tests, two individuals presented good symmetry between limbs, while one obtained inferior and asymmetric results. In the isometric dynamometry, strength balance was observed in the glutes, but there was still asymmetry between quadriceps and hamstrings (I/Q index). Baropodometry showed less weight-bearing control in the operated limb compared to the non-operated one. The safety questionnaires revealed good scores, but with variations between participants. Conclusion: Despite the heterogeneity of the results and low sample size, it was possible to identify the initial profile of these individuals, demonstrating that after six months of R-LCA, when well monitored, they can present good safety and performance. However, imbalances in the I/Q index and asymmetries in weight distribution are still noted, reinforcing the need for longer or more intense rehabilitation to avoid the risk of re-injury.
