Abstract

Objective: To identify the violations and violence expressed in the narratives of women living with HIV within the scope of the Recovery and Empowerment in Mental Health group. Methods: Study with a qualitative approach, exploratory-descriptive, adopting the participant observation technique, in a virtual environment, with women living with HIV who attend the online Recovery and Empowerment in Mental Health group as participants. Results: From the data collected from the participants' narratives, thematic content categories emerged: Violations and Moral Violence, Prejudice and Discrimination; Patrimonial/Economic Violence; Violations of the Right to life in Society; Physical Violence and Sexual Abuse. Conclusion: The research results reveal the need for nurses and other health professionals to build and implement actions that aim to reduce prejudice and discrimination against women living with HIV. The limitation lies in the need to construct research with a greater number of participants.
