Abstract
Objective: This paper aims to conduct an integrative review to analyze the principles and performance of Dental Surgeons (CD) in the oral health strategy in home care of the family health strategy. Methods: The study was established by ascertaining articles published in the PubMed/ Medline, LiLacs and SciELo databases from 2010-2019, combining the descriptors “integrated health”, “collective health”, and “ home care” with the Boolean descriptors in the respective sources of research. Twenty-five articles were found in this study; later the inclusion and exclusion criteria were overlapped, and only 6 were introduced. Results: The scientific elaboration shows indicative of the small assistance with regard to home visitation, lack of primacy and regularization of home care conducts and insufficient contact with the family health team. Final Considerations: The standardization of the application in home care and the mechanisms of prioritization of home visits designate great potential to overcome the restricted look only to the dental office. Fifteen years after the publication of the norms of the national Oral Health Policy, home care is characterized as an area to be conquered by the professionals involved.
