Abstract

Objective: To report the experience of an educational intervention aimed at raising awareness about bullying, carried out by medical students in 2024 with elementary school children. Experience report: The Health Education action was implemented in a school, using puppet theater to transmit the theme in a playful and accessible way to students aged 6 to 8. The plot addressed the theme of bullying, where the characters João and Maria confronted the aggressor Pedro, teaching respect and empathy. The children demonstrated active engagement during the activity and understanding of the message conveyed, according to the assessment of academics and teachers. This participation reinforces the effectiveness of playful methods to teach citizenship and health values. Final considerations: The activity highlighted the relevance of the practice for the development of communicative and empathetic skills in future doctors. Initiatives like this contribute to the reduction of social and health problems by promoting a culture of peace and alleviating demands on the Unified Health System.
