Abstract
Objective: To investigate the scientific evidence on multiprofessional care in the hospital environment for adult trauma patients. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, based on six stages of development. The bibliographic search was carried out in the PubMed, Cinahl, Lilacs, BDEnf, SciELO, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane and Scopus databases. Results: Five studies were included in the review, one published in 2018, two in 2019, one in 2022 and one in 2023. Regarding the databases, two were indexed in Scopus and two in Embase, and the Advanced Trauma Support Life 10th edition was also included. Descriptive methodology predominated, with one cohort study, two descriptive studies, one retrospective study and the trauma life support guide. A descriptive synthesis of the findings was carried out based on the themes found in the included studies. Final considerations: There is a range of care provided by the multi-professional team when caring for trauma patients, with primary and secondary care complementing each other. Coordinated and trained action directly affects the quality and safety of the care provided.
