Abstract
Objective: To identify in the scientific evidence instruments that have been built/validated to help nurses in the Mental Health Nursing Process. Method: This is an integrative review, carried out in March 2024, by searching for articles from the last 5 years, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, with a search strategy carried out by combining terms from the Health Sciences Descriptors with the Boolean operators OR and AND, in the MEDLINE, SciELO, SCOPUS, Web Of Science, LILACS and BDENF information sources, resulting in 10,324 articles exported to RAYYAN. Results: The selected articles addressed different stages of the NP: three focused on nursing assessment, two on diagnosis and one on implementation. These were: Nurses Global Assessment of Risk Suicide (NGARS) for suicide risk, the Mental Health Inventory (MHI-38) for emotional well-being, the Case-finding and Help Assessment Tool (CHAT) for lifestyle and mental health, the Global Mental Health Assessment Tool - Primary Care Version (GMHAT/PC) for diagnosis and an educational manual for promotion. Final considerations: The study revealed the existence of validated instruments for the mental health nursing process, but with limited coverage. No instruments were found for all stages..
