Abstract
Objective: To report the experience of experience of nurses and nursing students on a home care service of sickened in oncological palliative care. Experience report: The Home Care Service, implemented in 2001, was the first in the region to offer palliative care services outside the hospital setting. It provides assistance to patients and their families by a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, social workers and psychologists with the support of nutritionists, pharmacists and occupational therapists. This experience was thematized in this study as, "The team work and the dynamics of the home care service process"; "Nursing as a member of the support network"; and "Challenges perceived in attention to caring for people in finitude of life". Conclusion: So, understand the importance of maintaining professional support to those sickened and their caregivers, as they are so vulnerable to the detriment of the pain and suffering caused by cancer and the finiteness of life, in a care plan that prioritizes the appreciation of themselves and their life contexts.
